4 Raiders Cocktails For Your Fantasy Draft Party

As you’re gearing up for the 2018 fantasy season, I’ve drafted out a few rounds of cocktails that’ll definitely be breakout canditates for your fantasy draft party. If you don’t feel like rostering all of these drinks, just stream a few picks that you like.

Amaro Cooper

Amari Cooper is clear the WR1 that’s set to have a bounceback year with a healthy Derek Carr under center and an improved coaching staff led by Jon Gruden. Right now his current Average Draft Position (ADP) is the back of the 3rd round – which could be either a steal or a total bust depending on their yet-to-be-seen 2018 offense. “Amaro” is Italian for “bitter” and describes a group of low-ABV aperitifs and digestifs usually used to either stimulate an apetite, or settle your stomach after a large meal. Sounds perfect for a pick like Amari Cooper.

  • 1.5oz Rye Whiskey
  • 1oz Aperol
  • 1oz Sweet Vermouth
  • 3 dashes Peychauds Bitters

Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.

Doug Martini

Doug Martin, the newly signed RB from Tampa Bay, is heading into the 2018 season with an unclear timeshare with local hero Marshawn Lynch. Fantasy-wise, no one knows what this backfield is going to look like so it’s a little bit of a gamble drafting Doug Martin in the back of the 10th round. Still, you’ll probably want a stiff drink while deciding – and this cocktail delivers.

  • 2oz London Dry Gin
  • 1oz Dry Vermouth
  • Pinch of high-quality sea salt

Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain into a coupe glass served up. Garnish with either an expressed lemon twist or briny olive.

Lynchberg Lemonade

Ever since his 60+ yard carry for a TD (that was later overturned) in the first pre-season game against the Lions, Marshawn Lynch’s ADP has completely skyrocketed to the 4th round. If we believe this team is destined for a higher success on offense (especially with new weapons like Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant), Marshawn can be counted on to be the goal-line back and score a ton of touchdowns. Here’s a refreshing glass of Southern Hospitality to cool you down while you click “Draft” on Beastmode this year.

  • 1.5oz Jack Daniels Whisky (or your favorite bourbon or rye)
  • 1oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • .5oz simple syrup
  • .5oz St. George Raspberry Liqueur

Combine all ingredients into shaker with ice. Strain and serve in a highball glass top and with soda water.

Silver and Black

Who doesn’t love ain ice cold Silver Bullet at 10am on a Sunday morning? No one that’s who. We’re keeping it dead simple with this classic boilermaker.

  • 1 Coors Light
  • 1 shot of Fernet

Serve and enjoy.
